NEW VILLAGE ARTS THEATER

February - March 2022

New Village Arts Theater in conjunction with their production of the play entitled Desert Rock Garden

From behind these weavings, we look out at views of downtown Carlsbad, California framed by strips of the artist’s clothes soaked in dyes made from onion skins and avocado peels. The sunlight causes the dyes to fade, reflecting the changing of her food and clothes, a part of her identity, over time.
